Refund policy
Airalo:
Self-service refund request from your account (My eSIMs > Package History > Request Refund) for wrong purchase, changed plans, installation issues, or a non-working eSIM โ expired or fully-used eSIMs aren't eligible. Wrong-purchase/changed-plans refunds go to Airmoney (their in-app credit) only; installation-issue/not-working refunds can go to Airmoney or your original payment method, taking 7-10 business days (up to 30 depending on your bank).
RoamGo:
All sales are final once the eSIM is installed or activated. A refund or replacement is granted where the eSIM failed to activate because of a verified technical fault, after support was given a chance to troubleshoot. Requests must reach support within 30 days of purchase. No refunds for an incompatible or locked device, skipped install instructions, a deleted profile, data already used, or changed travel plans.
Validity starts
Airalo:
Validity starts either when the eSIM connects to the destination network or at the moment of installation, depending on the specific plan โ check 'Additional Information > Activation Policy' on the plan page before buying to see which applies.
RoamGo:
The validity period starts at the activation event named on each product page, and it genuinely differs per plan: some start on successful payment, others on installation, manual activation, or first connection to a supported network. Each plan page states which rule applies before you buy.
Fair-use limit
Airalo:
Unlimited plans default to a 3GB-per-day full-speed allowance before throttling to 1 Mbps for the rest of that 24-hour period (counted from activation, not purchase); a different daily threshold is stated on the specific plan's page when it applies instead of the 3GB default.
RoamGo:
Fixed-data plans are one bucket for the whole trip - no daily reset and no throttling until the bucket runs out. RoamGo also sells daily-allowance plans, which run at reduced speed after each day's high-speed cap; those are not listed here. Their Terms state that advertised speeds are theoretical maximums from the local carrier, not guaranteed throughput.
Top-ups & rollover
Airalo:
Only plans marked 'rechargeable' (checkable under Additional Information before buying) can be topped up, via the My eSIMs > Top Up option in the app โ a non-rechargeable eSIM or one that changed carriers requires buying a new eSIM instead.
RoamGo:
Top-ups are per plan, not provider-wide: each plan page says "Top-ups available" or "No top-ups on this plan", and RoamGo state they make no promise where the carrier has not confirmed. Where a top-up applies it reuses the same eSIM and QR code with no reinstall, and is priced separately by the carrier. Some plans stay eligible for a limited grace period after expiry.
