Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information eSIMKart collects when you use this site, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. In short: you can browse and compare without an account; we log clicks to partner sites in a privacy-preserving way; we only hold personal data you give us in a form (newsletter, contact, partner and review forms).

What we collect when you browse

No account is needed to use the site. When you click through to a provider ("Get eSIM", a coupon copy button, a sponsored card), we record the plan or provider clicked, the page you came from, any campaign parameters in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), your browser's user-agent string and a one-way hashed version of your IP address. The hash cannot be reversed to your IP; we use it to count distinct visits, to detect automated (bot) clicks, and to count a sponsored card's impressions once per visitor per day. Clicks from self-identified crawlers are not stored at all, only counted per day; other click records flagged as automated are deleted after 45 days; the rest after 24 months.

What we collect when you use a form

Newsletter: your email address and a hashed IP, until you unsubscribe. Contact and partner forms: what you type plus a hashed IP, kept while we handle the request. Traveller reviews: your name, email address, rating, review text, trip month, language, browser user-agent and a hashed IP; the email is used only to send a one-time verification link (valid 48 hours) and is never displayed. Published reviews show your name and the review; we may edit for spam or abuse only, never for opinion. Provider trust-card submissions: the contact name and work email a provider gives us.

Cookies and browser storage

We set small functional cookies for your display currency and language, and a session cookie on the staff login area only. Your browser's local storage keeps saved plans, recently viewed destinations and the comparison tray on your own device; nothing in it is sent to us. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall traffic; it sets its own cookies and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not run advertising networks or retargeting on this site.

Third-party sites and affiliate links

Buying an eSIM happens on the provider's own website. Links to providers are affiliate links: the provider or its affiliate network (for example Impact.com or Awin) may set a cookie on their domain to attribute the sale to us. Some pages also carry clearly labelled partner embeds (for example a Klook activities widget or a VPN offer) that load from those partners' servers. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their own policies before purchasing.

Service providers we use

Cloudflare (delivery and protection of the site), Amazon Web Services SES (sending verification and partner emails), Google Analytics (traffic statistics), Pexels (destination photos). Each processes only what is needed for its function.

Affiliate and sponsorship disclosure

We may earn a commission when you buy a plan through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. Commission never influences how plans are ranked or compared. Paid placements exist only in fixed zones and are always labelled "Sponsored"; they never enter plan tables, scores or "best" picks (see our ranking methodology).

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you, to unsubscribe from the newsletter, or to remove a review you wrote, by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. Where we rely on your consent (newsletter, reviews) you can withdraw it at any time; otherwise we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We update this policy when what we collect changes; the date at the top is the date of the last change.
