Policies compared

Confirmed from each provider's own site — see the trust card on each provider page for the verification date.

ID verification

abesteSIM: Required for some countries (passport/ID)

Skyalo: Not confirmed yet

Refund policy

abesteSIM: Full/partial refund or replacement if the eSIM fails to install/activate/work due to a fault on abesteSIM's or the carrier's side, or works only intermittently. A 2.5 SGD or 10% (whichever is higher) processing fee applies for device-incompatibility/carrier-lock refunds. No refund for wrong purchases, an expired activation window, expired unused data, wrong checkout email, or once the eSIM has been installed.

Skyalo: Refunds and cancellations are handled case-by-case via support — eligibility depends on whether the eSIM was already installed or used; contact support with your order number.

Validity starts

abesteSIM: Most plans start when the eSIM first connects to a supported network and begins using data; some instead use a fixed start date or activate on installation — stated per plan on its own product page (per their FAQ).

Skyalo: Validity starts either on eSIM installation or on first connection to a supported network, depending on the plan — check the specific plan's activation trigger before installing early.

Fair-use limit

abesteSIM: Some unlimited plans apply a fair-use policy after a high-speed threshold; others state a fixed speed cap (e.g. 5/10/20 Mbps) instead — varies per plan, check the product description (per their FAQ).

Skyalo: Daily unlimited plans give a set volume per day at full speed, then unlimited data at a reduced per-plan speed, resetting every 24 hours; other unlimited plans may have speed reduced under Fair Use after heavy traffic.

Top-ups & rollover

abesteSIM: No — abesteSIM does not currently support topping up an installed eSIM; buy a new plan once the existing allowance ends (per their FAQ).

Skyalo: Many plans support top-ups: buy a top-up plan for the same country or region and the data is added to your existing eSIM profile (each plan shows Top-up Available/Not available).
