Refund policy
Maya Mobile:
Full refund (less processing fees) within 30 days if no data has been used โ including incompatible or carrier-locked devices; partial refunds proportionate to unused data for Maya-side network issues.
Ubigi:
Refunds only for unused plans โ a plan can't be refunded once you start using it. Requests within 14 business days of purchase, processed within 10 business days to the original payment method.
GigSky:
SIMs and top-ups can't be returned once sold and unused data isn't refunded; a minimally used subscription plan (under 1GB) affected by a connectivity issue may be refunded at GigSky's discretion.
Nomad:
Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase: a plan not yet installed or activated may be fully refunded (to the card or as Nomad Points); after activation only a partial refund for verified technical failure. Unlimited plans and a few others are non-refundable.
Validity starts
Maya Mobile:
Each plan runs for its full duration once activated in the app (turn the eSIM on when you land, not automatically at purchase); you're charged once at purchase regardless of how much data you use, and there are no partial refunds for unused days.
Ubigi:
Smartstart: the plan's validity countdown begins when you first connect at your destination, not at the moment of purchase. Preloaded eSIM QR codes must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase or they expire unused.
GigSky:
Plans are turned on by the customer when ready to travel, not automatically at purchase, per GigSky's setup flow ('Activate When You Travel, Top Up Anytime').
Nomad:
Validity starts only when the eSIM is activated, meaning first connection to a network or the automatic activation-window deadline - not at installation or purchase.
Fair-use limit
Maya Mobile:
Unlimited plans: speed may be temporarily throttled to 10 Mbps once daily usage exceeds 3GB, and to 1 Mbps if very high usage continues; any throttle is removed within 24 hours. Prepaid (fixed-GB) plans run at full local network speed.
Ubigi:
Unlimited plans run at full speed up to a threshold, then drop to 2 Mbps: about 15โ25 GB on 7-day country plans and 60 GB on 30-day regional plans, depending on the destination.
GigSky:
On Unlimited plans, GigSky may reduce speed during a single day of very heavy use (e.g. video streaming); normal speed resumes the next day. No specific data threshold or throttled speed is disclosed.
Nomad:
Most Unlimited plans give 2 GB of high-speed data per day, then speed drops to about 1 Mbps or 2 Mbps (depending on the plan) for the rest of the day; the allowance resets every 24 hours from activation.
Top-ups & rollover
Maya Mobile:
Add data to an existing eSIM any time: pick a package in the Shop and choose your existing eSIM at checkout (no reinstall); optional Auto Renew also extends 30-day plans monthly.
Ubigi:
Existing Ubigi eSIMs can be recharged with a new data plan directly through the Ubigi app or ubigi.me account โ even without Wi-Fi or remaining data โ without installing a new eSIM.
GigSky:
Eligible plans can be topped up anytime in the GigSky app (My Plans > Top Up), with the data added to the existing plan; not every plan supports top-ups and complimentary Visa plans can't be topped up.
Nomad:
Add-ons can be purchased in the Nomad eSIM app or website (Manage, then Add more data) without reinstalling; not every plan supports add-ons and they cannot be bought from the UAE or India.
