Refund policy

AeriSIM: Full or partial refund, or a replacement, if the eSIM can't be installed or used due to a fault on AeriSIM's or the carrier's side; incompatible or carrier-locked phones are refunded minus $2 or 10% (whichever is higher). No refund once installed, for changed plans, or after the activation window.

AirPlans: Full refund within 30 days if the eSIM was never installed or activated, wasn't delivered, or had a verified unresolved technical failure; installed plans and wrong-destination purchases are non-refundable.

Validity starts

AeriSIM: Validity starts once the eSIM connects to a supported network and begins using data; you can install before departure but keep it switched off. Some plans start on installation or a fixed date, as stated on the product page.

AirPlans: On most plans validity begins the first time the eSIM connects to a supported network at the destination, not at purchase or install; AirPlans' Terms note some plans instead start on installation, as stated in each plan's terms.

Fair-use limit

AeriSIM: Varies by plan and is listed on each product page: daily plans slow down after the daily high-speed allowance (e.g. Japan: 128 kbps, resets 0:00 UTC+8); some unlimited plans have a stated speed cap instead.

AirPlans: Unlimited plans come with a daily high-speed allowance (1GB, 2GB or 3GB per day depending on the plan), after which speed drops to a stated rate (512 Kbps to about 2 Mbps) until the next day. Both figures are published per plan in their feed and shown on each plan row here.

Top-ups & rollover

AeriSIM: Depends on the plan: check My eSIMs and the order details; if a top-up is not offered, buy another plan for the same destination.

AirPlans: Existing eSIMs can be topped up with more data from the My eSIMs screen in the app, no reinstall needed.
