Refund policy

ASimGo: Full/partial refund or free replacement for a verified technical failure or persistent connectivity issue; a locked/incompatible device costs 2.50 USD or 10% (whichever is higher). No refund for change of mind, a deleted profile, expired data, a wrong email or a lapsed 30-90-day activation window.

GigaGo: Full refund (100%) if the eSIM QR code hasn't been installed/scanned, requested within 30 days of purchase, or the eSIM is verified faulty by GigaGo support. Partial refund (up to 100%) for unstable/interrupted connection at GigaGo's discretion. No refund for wrong-plan-already-installed, unsupported devices, out-of-coverage use, or force-majeure outages. Refund requests before Wednesday are processed the following Thursday; funds post in 3-5 business days to the original payment method.

Validity starts

ASimGo: Most plans activate only when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, not on purchase — install it just before departure or on arrival using airport Wi-Fi, per their FAQ.

GigaGo: Validity starts once the eSIM is downloaded/installed on the device (per GigaGo's own FAQ) -- not at purchase, and notably not at first data use either, which is how most competitors on this site define it.

Fair-use limit

ASimGo: Not confirmed yet

GigaGo: Varies per plan: many unlimited plans give 1GB/day of high-speed data, then continue unlimited at 5 Mbps (e.g. Europe, USA), while some longer plans (Thailand 8–30 days) are truly unlimited with no throttling.

Top-ups & rollover

ASimGo: Not confirmed yet

GigaGo: Not available on many plans — product pages such as Japan and USA state 'Top-up option: Not available'; GigaGo suggests buying a new plan when data runs out.
