Refund policy

BNESIM: Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase and are denied once over 10% of the plan's data has been used; approved refunds go to BNE Wallet credit (24h) or the original payment method (up to 3 business days).

KnowRoaming: Full refund if the eSIM was never installed or the plan never connected; after that a full or partial refund is discretionary (under 2% of data used, or a fault on their side). Ask within 90 days of purchase and before validity ends; reviewed within 4 working days, paid within 15 calendar days.

Validity starts

BNESIM: Data validity starts counting down as soon as a plan is purchased by default; BNESIM also lets you schedule activation for a specific future day instead. Once installed, the eSIM begins working within about a minute of connecting to a local network.

KnowRoaming: The plan starts when you first connect in a supported country, not at purchase; validity days count from that first connection and run continuously. It must be started within the 'Activate before' window shown at checkout. Unused data expires with the validity period, no rollover.

Fair-use limit

BNESIM: Unlimited-data plans may be suspended if daily usage reaches 5GB or monthly usage reaches 100GB; BNESIM reserves the right to limit speed for very high network use.

KnowRoaming: Unlimited country plans: 5 GB at full speed every 24 hours, then reduced speed until the allowance resets (24h counted from first connection); the Global unlimited plan gets 2 GB a day, then up to 256 kbps. Hotspot use counts against the allowance. Fixed plans stop when the data is used.

Top-ups & rollover

BNESIM: Top up via the BNESIM eSIM app: open My eSIMs, pick the eSIM to recharge, then choose a country and data plan; no reinstall needed.

KnowRoaming: Top up from My plans in the app or on knowroaming.com: select the plan, tap Top up, choose extra data or days; no new eSIM, nothing to scan, the connection doesn't drop. Optional auto top-up (off by default) charges the saved card when the plan runs low.

Lost device / reinstalling

BNESIM: A BNESIM eSIM can be reinstalled on the same device as needed, but it can't be moved to a new device -- switching devices requires requesting a paid replacement (1 EUR) via BNESIM support.

KnowRoaming: KR.One is one eSIM installed once; every later plan attaches to it with no new QR code. A deleted eSIM can't be restored or moved to another phone; a fresh one is added through the app in about a minute, while a plan with days or data left stays on the phone it was bought for.

Billing currency

BNESIM: Not confirmed yet

KnowRoaming: Charged in the currency shown at checkout (website: your region's currency; app: Settings > Currency). A card in another currency is converted by the card network at its own rate; KnowRoaming advises declining the bank's dynamic currency conversion offer. Card details are held by Stripe.
