- Validity starts
- Plan days start only at the eSIM's first connection to a supported network in your destination — buying and installing it at home use no plan days.
- Fair-use limit
- A fair-use policy applies to unlimited plans — HelloRoam may apply speed limits if usage is well above normal levels, to protect network quality for other users.
- Top-ups & rollover
- Top up an existing eSIM in the HelloRoam app (My eSIM > Top up): the new data joins what's left and the end date moves out on the same eSIM, no new QR code; expired eSIMs and some plans can't take a top-up.
- Lost device / reinstalling
- Before first connection in the destination you can reinstall on the same phone with the same QR (for a limited time), and support can issue a new eSIM for a new phone; once it has connected, a deleted eSIM is gone and no replacement is issued for a phone change.
- Billing currency
- Charges in USD by default (a currency switcher is available). Indirect/sales tax is added based on your billing postal or zip code.
